This highly productive and widely adapted variety of asparagus produces large, tender spears with fine flavor. Developed at Rutgers University, Jersey Giant roots are predominately male, which last longer and yield more than female roots. Jersey Giant is cold hardy and has high tolerance to rust, fusarium and crown rot. Our crowns are two years old. This makes them larger and more productive than one year old crowns. We take orders and hold them for delivery in April of each year. Certified organic crowns.
